Chinese Zoo to cage humans!

XI'AN: A Chinese zoo is looking for six volunteers to live in the monkey enclosure for five days.
Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park, in Xi'an city, wants three men and three women, reports Sanqin City News.
Ren Feixiang, general manager of the zoo, said: "Their lives are going to be exactly the same as the monkeys and they also have to mimic some of the monkeys' actions.
"They have to beg for food from tourists except for a small portion of food brought in by the zoo staff each day."
They will spend their days with the monkeys and sleep at night in two tents inside the enclosure.
Each day, every participant will be allowed to use a telephone for three minutes, providing they follow the rules of the project.
At the end of the five days, one of the volunteers will be declared the winner and will be awarded the title 'Loving animal ambassador' and receive about £780 (Rs 67,304).

Police probe underwear mystery

PURTON: Police in a Wiltshire village have been trying to get to the bottom of an underwear mystery.
Around 30 pairs of knickers have been found draped over road signs and gravestones in Purton, near Swindon.
No-one has reported the items as stolen and they all appear to be new and of quite good quality, reports the BBC. Phil Elliott from Purton Police said: "If it's a practical joke and someone could just let us in on it, then that would be great."
He said police had been recovering various pieces of women's underwear since November. He added: "We don't know if it's a criminal offence or a prank. If it's a prank, please tell us."

Bank Gives Credit card to Cat

MELBOURNE: An Australian bank has issued a credit card to a customer's cat.
The Bank of Queensland gave Messiah the moggy a credit limit of £1,660 (Rs 143,209) .
Messiah's owner, Katherine Campbell from Melbourne, applied for the card in her cat's name to test bank security.
Ms Campbell told reporters that the bank requested identification from Messiah but later sent a credit card without receiving any proof of ID.
And she says she was not notified that a secondary credit card attached to her account had been issued.
Ms Campbell said the envelope containing her cat's credit card, the letter inside and the credit card itself were all addressed to Messiah Campbell. "I just couldn't believe it," she said. "People need to be aware of this and banks need to have better security."
