Man Shoots Roommate While Cleaning His Gun!
A Van Nuys, Calif. man was hospitalized after his roommate accidentally shot him while cleaning his gun, police said.
The shooting was reported at 12:12 a.m. PST, according to Los Angeles police Officer Dan Whitmore of the Van Nuys Station.
"At this point, there's nothing criminal, we don't believe," he said.
The names of the victim and his roommate were withheld.
The wounded man's condition was not available, but police said he had stable vital signs.
The shooter told police he had taken out his gun to clean it, and didn't realize it was loaded. He then accidentally shot his roommate, Whitmore said. It was unclear if the man would be booked for a crime, pending the outcome of an investigation.
