Man Escapes High Rise Fire In Hong Kong! (Video)
HONG KONG A man was left clinging to the window ledge of a high-rise residential building while trying to escape a fire in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, Tuesday afternoon. He managed to escape from the apartment unharmed.
A firefighter eventually came to his help at another window ledge and lifted him to safety. The fire started at around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. The man who narrowly escaped was the owner of the apartment. Another man and a woman were also rescued from the flat by firefighters. All three were conscious but appeared confused from their ordeal.
Firefighters say the cause of the blaze was suspicious and they are investigating. They said inspecting the flat after putting out the flames they found that the room where the fire started was locked from the outside. Objects also blocked the door so that it could not be opened easily. Ten cigarette lighters were found on the premises.
